I saw your post and I thought I should check mine. I've been on my computer all day (4+ hours) and the device is cool. You should contact the manufacturer or Best Buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not the device that is getting hot, the port is attached to a motherboard that's getting hot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The first one I bought got hot after several months. But I liked the small size and decided to purchase another one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, mine does as well. I made sure to indicate that in my review. If it wasn't for that one factor, I would have given it 4-5 stars.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So, I've been having intermittent disconnections for months, but I troubleshot everything except the physical adapter. Sure enough, when I went to try moving it to another port it was so hot I had to grab a pair of pliers to remove it. No idea why it is running so hot, USBs above/below/next to it are as cool as can be (other than the sides that were right against it). I've plugged it into a USB extension cable and am trying it through that. 10-minutes without a disconnect, which prior to my doing this was averaging a disconnect every 3 minutes today.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine gets real hot, but the computer isn't hot...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is your keyboard or bottom of your laptop also hot? Because most likely your computer is overheating transferring heat to the USB device
