yes, there are some real benefits to consider. Now you have two USB's, one being USB4. That means any E-GPU will work. Saves a ton of money with an increase of performance in that regard. Easy to install NVNM memory and its full size. Not to mention the increase from 512g to 1TB. Massive increase in Ram and the speed of ram is on par with Legion Go. You will see increase in FPS in some games. Not to mention overall increase in windows performance. The battery is now 80 watts, meaning twice the power. So double the gaming time on the go. They are saying 3 hours of heavy gaming now. There is a slight increase in size due to this. The buttons and joy sticks are better as well. Sd card slot moved to a different spot and overall better thermals. If you are looking for a new device and don't have an old Ally. This would be the one to get. If you can return or sell at a decent price the og Ally I would consider this. They fixed a lot of the issues the og faced.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it's a mid gen refresh that offers double the battery life, more ram, better thumbsticks, better internal heat distribution, and hopefully a uggraded Micro SD. Although, that hasn't been confirmed yet. You can however upgrade the internal SSD card to a M.2 with a larger storage capacity than 2 tb's.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the biggest improvements were the speed and amount of RAM. Now you get 24 Gigs so you can dedicate 8 Gigs to the GPU and because it is faster some games will run better. The second was the cooling has changed slightly to allow the machine to breath better, so it won’t destroy your SD Cards. I have the original and it’s pretty nice, but this is clearly the better unit and I wish mine had upgradable RAM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it has a better trigger and thumb grip and 24 GB of RAM. I am not sure about the Micro SD card, considering that the original fried SD cards, but what is even excellent is this has about 1 TB of storage
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, essentially. It has the same Z1 Extreme processor, but now has 24gb of RAM, more storage, twice the battery and some other internal updates.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In some ways yes. The battery is bigger at 80 watts compared to the original's 40 watts capacity thus giving the player more gameplay time away from the power outlet. The next biggest upgrade is the included 24GB of DDDR4 RAM instead of the 16GB RAM that's standard on the original model. The RAM is also faster. With the additional memory included, one can change the amount of VRAM available for a game thus increasing the performance of more demanding games.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a pretty good improvement over ROG Ally extreme
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes has the same extreme chipset as Rog Ally but has more RAM, bigger battery, and larger SSD
