Not sure where you got your data, but yes, the Strix is better than the Zephyrus - and I’m assuming you’re talking about this model Strix G17 versus the 14” Zephyrus G14 that Best Buy sells - the larger Zephyrus is Intel based and would be like comparing Oranges to Mangoes). The Walmart Strix version you mention uses the 4060 vs 4070 GPU and uses the 12-core version of the 16-core Strix AMD CPU. Ignoring the GPU diff, the Walmart CPU is about 20% slower than the 16-core one (assuming you can use all 16/12 cores, respectively). The CPU in the 2023 Zephyrus G14 has 8 cores, not 16 cores. It works out that the Zephyrus CPU is about half as fast as the Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU in this Strix (note that other configs are available on Asus and other sites). The 7945HX is the fastest laptop chip available in late 2023. That makes the Zephyrus G14 CPU half as fast as the fastest laptop, but still no slouch - probably faster than 90% of laptops being sold today. As far as memory, the Strix handled 64 GB just fine. It is also proven to handle SSDs up to 8 TB. BB offers only one flavor I guess. You have to upgrade yourself or have your friendly Geek Squad do it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Both laptop model series are high-performance system and both can run video-edting software or applications smoothly, More RAM will not neccesary provide a significant boost in performance.
