Is this monitor 4k? null

No. This is closer to a 2k like resolution.

It is not. It is 2k, think of it as basically the 4k equivalent of 720p. The reason it is often compared is that when you take into account the extra wide aspect ratio of the monitor, there is many more horizontal pixels. Regular 2k is 2560x1440, however with this monitor the res is 3440x1440 because it's wider compared to standard 16:9 ratio. So being that your GPU must render a roughly similar amount of pixels as 4k however the pixel density remains consistent with 2k resolution you just have more real estate to work with.
