Can this external GPU work with the ROG Ally X? null

NO! It definitely does NOT work with the Ally X, unless the Asus rep knows about an adapter that is not publicly available yet. It DOES work with the standard white Ally z1 and z1 extreme models. Even physically the XG Mobile connector won't physically fit in the Ally X.

It supports an external gpu. Just not the same adapter. Also, you can use an egpu. Like 1gpu. Thats expensive. But yields similar results. The cpu will still bottleneck either way. Justmaybe more on the x. Butthen the x is more powerful.
