Also, it comes with a ROG control app that lets you set one of several profiles for heat and fan control. If you like to reduce fan noise and/or make it run cooler during high loads, you can pick a profile for that. If you're trying to set a world record benchmark, you can pick a profile for that. Similarly if you're on battery and want to stretch battery life to the max.

The laptop ran as expected. Meaning with hardware info showing a peak temp of 91 c on the cpu but ran around 84c during most of the time. The top back part of the laptop, above the keyboard gets fairly hot during that time. Note: I did NOT have ASUS Armory Crate actually installed. I turned on the laptop, windows updates, Nvidia driver update. Installed my game and saw this result. The ASUS Armory Crate will aid in fan profiles. The setting was automatically set as Performance when I did install ASUS Armory Crate. I clicked the icon and it started through the process of install which I did not know beforehand. So, could it be cooler, probably, yes. Also there are specific AMD programs to help controll the CPU to throttle down IF an owner would experience heat with the cpu. So with that said, it reading comments about heat on any AMD laptop or Intel laptop, there are programs that can help and without attempt to use those is not (in my words) 100% fair to say, this laptop is too hot. In short, 91c peak cpu temp with 3 instances of a game with youtube and discord .. is great! (even with no software to aid it to be cooler).

It is normal for the laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal.
