I have the G402RJ (2022) and am using the Dell WD19TB docking station with 3 external monitors, as well as external speakers. There is some work to be done to get this dock to perform as it should. Before attempting to use the docking station, I updated the BIOS to 317 and updated all drivers. Using the left-side USB-C, it successfully on 3 external monitors, but for some reason my USB keyboard connected to the dock (Logitech G213) would not work at all, nor would any other USB-A device. Using the right-hand USB-C connection, everything worked except the laptop would not charge. Just so happens that Asus is beta testing a BIOS update (502) that supposedly enables USB4. I downloaded the BIOS and USB4 'enabling' tool that comes with the BIOS file, and updated everything per their instructions using E-Z Flash. So far, everything has worked without issue. Charging, monitor configuration, sleep, wake from sleep and no more keyboard issues. Note: this only updates the left-hand USB-C port I believe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It might work. I used a Dell docking station with last years Rog Flow which had an AMD 5900HS processor. Asus has also promised that it will enable USB 4 on one of the Zephyrus G14 ports via a software update later this year which should help with compatibility.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It AMD Ryzen , so no thunderbolt
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB4 = TB3... no fees... it's baked into the USB standard
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it will not work. I hooked it up with the Dell WD19TB thunderbolt docking station. On the left side USB-C, it will charge the laptop but no display. Using the USB-C on the right, it can display but no charging. But as soon as you close the lid of the G14, it turns off the external display, no matter what you do, you can't wake the screen from the Dell dock. I spent the whole night trying to make it work with my Dell Dock with no sucess. Tried updating Bios, firmware, drivers, Dell Dock firmware, nothing works.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sadly, no. That's Intel technology and the price tag and license is all Intel. Apple has the rights to use thunderbolt, but AMD hasn't implemented it or it cannot do so. This is why standards are key. I haven't really use thunderbolt with my M15 and don't plan to even if it's fast. I hate proprietary hardware/software
