You need to acquire a license for Office if you want the full software - this laptop does not come with it. As for heat, I'm still learning here but this is my understanding. There are no real physical internal changes to the laptop you can make. Software is somewhat limited but there are some different power profiles. It seems the CPU's power is a direct contributor to heat and that, if you game with the laptop lid closed, this power is limited and you get some of the best results here (even better with external fans or with the laptop in an elevated or vertical stand where there's much more airflow on the bottom side of the laptop).

In my personal case, I use my laptop for college and for some light gaming. In regards to the CPU temps, they get quite hot; however, you can disable its turbo by changing a few things on "regedit." In the case for the 2060 RTX, you can undervolt it quite a bit to improve thermals. After doing all of that, my computer has been running around 68 to 70C which is a significan improvement over the stock settings. FYI, my specs for the G14 is the 16Gb RAM, 120hz monitor, 2060RTX Max-q, 1TB SSD. I don't know if this answers this question, but there are quite a few people on the internet that have guides on how to do all the things that I've mentioned above.
