QuestionReviewers have shown that the key lighting on the white models isn't bright enough to provide good contrast. Some mentioned that ASUS planned to address that for the production models. Has that issue been fixed?

- Answer It was not 'Fixed' on the version I had... I saw that review too, 'go bright for white', and yep I suppose it could be brighter. And the contrast is uneven, some of the keys were brighter than others, but none of that bothered me frankly. Lit keyboards look cool, not sure they ever helped me except to orientate my hands and this one does that fine. You won't find the perfect machine, I love this machine for all the other reasons.

- Answer It does not appear to have a toslink option that I am aware of. However I was impressed with the built in soundcard’s quality! Solid 24-bit/96khz sound reproduction.

QuestionMy laptop can hold a charge up to 2 hours. I saw that on average people can get 5-6 hours of battery life, up to 10 hours max. I'm not doing anything rigorous when I use it and I try to use the lowest settings to extend the battery life. Why is it so low?

- Answer Clean your laptop, it's likely overheating and automatically turning down the power so it doesn't fry itself. A can of compressed air will help or just taking it in for a quick clean to a computer store or BestBuy

- Answer No, and the keyboard is not RGB, just a white/silver glow. Lighting wise it’s a very simple and unassuming setup, unless you get the version with the anime matrix on the lid.

- Answer The laptop comes with Windows 10 Home Edition, it was not advertised having a Windows 10 PRO. To upgrade to PRO version, a licence needs to be purchased separately.

- Answer Update the bios and all the drivers. I had the same issue with it running hot and the fans running full blast all the time.
