A:Answer Realistically, the 4070 model competes with the 6800S model, and it will perform quite a bit better while consuming less power.
The Gigabyte Aero 16's 105W 4070 gets about 35-40% better FPS than the 6700S in NBC's Witcher benchmarks. The 4070 should offer other benefits over the 6700s besides raw power, such as much better efficiency & temps (the 2022 G14 seems to run the 6700S into the 80s, which NVIDIA doesn't do much this generation).
So 80% higher price for 40% higher raw performance, taking the sale into consideration. My assumption is that other benefits of the 2023 model will be in the spotlight once reviews come out, such as the new CPU, better webcam, and different RAM config (easily upgradeable to 32GB).
