• This is because ALL rtx 4070 LAPTOP VERSIONS have 8Gb of VRAM. I know its marketing BS, and in many ways is kinda scammy. But the truth is that rtx 4070 laptops all only have 8gb of vram. The desktop versions have 12gb and are also much faster clock speeds. Pretend they are two different GPUs

• For laptops, most companies use the mobile version for graphics cards, which usually has a little less power than the desktop one. This one uses the 4070 Mobile, which has 8gb of ram as opposed to the normal 4070, which has 12.
