A:AnswerYes. I do the same thing when I'm home. However the Lenovo laptop most likely has a mini Display port connector and the VG249Q uses Display port. The Display port cable included with the Asus monitor won't connect to the laptop as it is meant to connect to a desktop video card with Display port. I had to buy a mini Display port to Display port cable to attach the VG249Q to my laptop. The Insignia brand mini Display port to Display port cable is about $20. You may be able to find such a cable for less shopping around. I bought the Insignia cable for convenience. So far so good I haven't seen any strange visual artifacts or anything else running at 144Hz (game playing or otherwise) using this cable to connect the VG249Q to my laptop.
A:AnswerYes the response time is 144hz definitely one of the more affordable gaming monitors out there I’ve had mine for about a month and just make sure you use the display port not the hdmi when connected to get full 144hz.
A:AnswerThis monitor does not support Thunderbolt, however if you have an adapter that can convert that signal to DVI-D or DisplayPort you should be able to run the monitor at 144Hz. That setting needs to be enabled in MacOS, please verify your OS supports that refresh rate as well.
