It's is just white backlight, just got this laptop myself. This is fine for me as I don't really care for the rainbow colors anyways and usually set my stuff to monochrome or white.

Best Buy lied about it having one, and continues to lie about it having an RGB keyboard, even after being notified by reviewers over a year ago. The RGB keyboard was false advertisement by Best Buy.
