If you expect any battery powered piece of hardware to give you the gaming performance and play time you want for anywhere over an hour, I think your expectations are a little bit high. Ifyou're gaming for 2-3 hours with this laptop unplugged, im thoroughly impressed. IMO While gaming you should always be plugged in. For other stuff, like word, excel, browsing, and emails - I've had mine survive for a good deal of time on just battery. If you're having power issues I'd suggest adjusting your power profiles to mitigate extraneous power use, reducing brightness, or just finding an outlet.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You partially answered your own question, battery life on all gaming laptops are pretty poor. You can turn on battery saver in system Power & Battery, you can change to eco mode in Armoury Crate, if you installed the adrenalin software/video driver from amd, you can turn on eco mode. All of this will squeeze a bit more time, but dont expect battery life that would you get from a office/production laptop, those are low powered and built for battery use, this is not.
