I haven’t used a ton of monitors, but for every device with a screen I have the brightness bothers me until I make some significant changes. This monitor has a “darkroom mode” screen display setting that has been great. The brights are muted really well, and even working with something like an excel sheet that’s usually super bright is pretty easy on they eyes. I can’t speak at all to whether it’s actually better medically or anything, but as someone with eyes really sensitive to brightness, I’ve found this monitor to work out really well. I bought another one cause I liked it so much of that means anything.

I had been dealing with migraines for a few years to the point I had to see a doctor for it, but after I switched to various Asus monitors with their "Eye Care" filter settings a few years ago I have cut down to almost never having problems with that. It wasn't caused 100% by bad computer monitors, and wasn't 100% fixed by them, but it honestly made a huge difference. If this is something important to you, I would definitely recommend giving them a shot, I'm something of an Asus fan, but many other brands have similar features with their own branding for it, just look for "blue light filter / eye strain / eye fatigue" in their marketing materials.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a low blue-light output which is better for your eyes. Not really a see-able difference though. It also has a high refresh rate. Refresh rates above 60Hz (when your computer can also support it and is set to do so), have a picture with no perceivable flicker. This is not unique to this monitor.
