• This DOES have a backlit keyboard with three brightness levels. Love it!

• No need to add backlit keyboard as it already has one from the factory, just hold down the ctrl key and tap f7 to activate the back lighting

• No, this laptop does not have a backlit keyboard and as far as I know, this is not a feature you can add after the fact. I would suggest doing a search on Best Buy's website for "backlit keyboard" to find a model with the option you are looking for and I would HIGHLY recommend it! I love my backlit keyboard so much that I now have one for my desktop PC as well! LOVE IT!!!
