I haven't done that, but I don't see why not. There are plenty of USB ports (USB 2, USB 3, USB C). And I did nothing to install my Epson WiFi printer, and when I pushed CTL+P just now, the printer shows up.

Please try again later.Since there is no connection between an external optical drive and a wireless printer, of any type, I assume that you mean you want to use and external drive to load the required software, and of course, you can attach one with ANY PC that has a USB port (which should mean every single one ever made in the past couple of decades. However, if it were not possible to do this, you could just use an optical drive on another PC to copy the software to a pen drive and then connect this drive to the Asus. Or (now here's a thought) you could also just download the software from the manufacturer's website. BTW, Windows has so many compatible printer/scanner drivers built-in that many printers can be used almost straight out of the box without loading any software (although full functionality, like ink/toner levels, notifications of insufficient paper or jams, etc. may be hampered), This is probably why one responder said he just tried printing and it worked, although if he was wireless, I don't see how he could do that without establishing a Bluetooth or IP address connection.
