You’ll want an Nvidia or Radeon dGPU for BG3. While the game is well optimized across many gpus you’ll still want a dedicated gpu (dGPU) not an igpu (Intel / AMD Vega). With those you’ll like be playing low graphics sub 60.

Currently, only the iGPU technology on the AMD 7940HS and 8945HS laptop chips is significantly faster enough to be “passable at FHD but nothing to write home about” on challenging games such as BG3. For now, you need a dGPU. Later this year ir early 2025, AMD will roll out Strix Point and other laptop chips like Strix Halo that have an iGPU capable of playing BG3 and others at acceptable quality. Problem is, Asus and others will only put those into their gaming laptop lineup and at that pricepoint they will add a dGPU anyway so the fast iGPU will go to waste. If Asus is listening, some of us want Strix Point and/or Strix Halo with no added dGPU “gamer tax”. The few times we play DG3 we’ll settle for the “pretty decent” iGPU speed available then. More interested in the NPU and iGPU than any dGPU on offer.
