Just received mine and it does NOT! I’m definitely not happy.

I just got one yesterday and was highly disappointed that feature wasn't available as described on Best Buy website. The specs on this model are to good to return it for the price though. The 15 inch mode for the same price seems to be the exact same other than screen size and it says it doesn't have backlit keyboard. I would bet it does. Looking at the other 17 inch VivoBook models on the ASUS website shows the F7 key with a backlit keyboard icon. The F7 key on this one is blank.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Here's a screenshot from April 26 showing there was a backlit keyboard on the original description. Looks like that was removed at some point. Might make a lot of folks happy if Best Buy and/or Asus would just own up to the error, issue store credit, maybe a wireless mouse, something... instead of pretending it was never there.

Please try again later.I have just bought this laptop and it does not have a keyboard backlight however I am not worried about that little mishap because for a budget price it is amazing! It handles everything so well and the screen does not make my eyes ache as others have in the past so well worth the money. As for the keyboard I bought a usb little light it is now perfect and the screen is huge :)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It doesn't have a backlight.. what makes it worst, adding pain to injury is the non visible nature, or blurness of the alphabets on the keys, If you have a silver color..very irritating..
