• It comes with an external power supply that's just USB A brick, a USB A -> USB C converter, and a USB C cable. I prefer just using the USB C connection from my computer, it makes things simpler. You can use any of the 3 USB C ports on the device for power.

• If you use USB-C for the video connection, it will get it's power from the device it's connected to (providing the device's USB-C supports power over USB). If you are using HDMI, then you must also connect a separate power adapter.
