Yes, the phone will work when there is power outage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the base station phone works as a phone without power but the display will not work nor will the answering machine. additionally this assumes that you have a pots line (plan old telephone service, that is to say service direct from the phone company on a copper wire). if you phone's dial tone (your phone service provider) is from your cable company or something like verizon fios or if you use vonage or ooma or magicjack or any other voip (voice over internet) servcice then those services will likely not work when you have a power outage...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends on your phone lines. The old copper lines work during a.power outage, but the new fiber optic phone lines do not. Why are we switching to fiber optic lines?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The base phone should work if there is a power out, the answering system will not or the cordless phones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.True landlines are no longer available in but a very few places if any. What people call a landline today is really a VOIP phone service not a direct copper line to the phone company. A true landline will work even if you lose electrical power and does not depend on battery backup. If you lose your power from the backup battery, then you will not be able use your phone at all. Today's phone service comes in over your internet or service provider. Yesterdays landline service if gone. Don't be fooled by someone telling you that you have a landline when you really have a VOIP phone.
