The phone can be used without a power outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We use this phone exclusively for power outage back-up. Our hands free set of phones require ac which isn't useful when the power is out. Our cell phones require wifi, which goes out here with the power. This phone plugs into our land line and that's all. It's up and running, but is not cordless. As often as we have power outages in our area, rural and wildfire prone, we have found this phone critical for communication. I'm glad we have kept a landline.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has no AC adapter and it CAN be used without a power outlet. This is a landline telephone. It is not electric. It is battery operated. The nice thing about it is that if only electric power goes out, unlike a cell phone that needs electric to charge, as long as the phone lines are not down . . . you can still use this phone.
