A:AnswerYou can probably do so by transferring the sim card. It worked that way for me but it might depend on what your current phone is. I had the AT&T store help with it. They did it at no charge.
A:AnswerPhone has to be used with ATT Prepaid for at least six months. I'm no expert, but it LOOKS like after six months, you can get a Consumer Cellular sim card and make the switch.
A:AnswerYou can buy minutes with a credit card by dialing AT&T on your phone at 6-1-1 and there's probably an 800 # you can call from another phone to add minutes to your account. You can go to the AT&T website and buy a card with minutes. You can also buy a card with minutes in many drugstores and supermarkets. They come in $10 and also $25 increments - and some in-between and maybe above those amounts also. But after 30 days, your total minutes will only rollover if you buy $25 or more.
A:AnswerI don't have a contract, I use AT&T Prepaid (aka GoPhone). When I went to the AT&T phone store in the Culver City Mall, they said they would charge me $5 to provide a different size SIM card. But they would install it for free.
A:AnswerIf you look at the bottom right corner of the phone (opened) on the edge (near the # key) you'll see a groove on the corner designed to allow your fingernail to pry the back away from the phone. I suggest you download the full pdf manual to your computer if you have one to see how. It's shown on pages 8 & 9.
A:AnswerI can not give a definitive answer as to whether or not it will work. I do think it will work because this appears to be the same phone [except for the branding] as the Alcatel Quickflip offered by Cricket.
