• This phone required 4 AA batteries. It DOES NOT work with VOIP service. It will not ring nor allow other phones on the line to ring.

• No. As an analog phone, it gets it's power from the phone jack.

• It does require batteries. I believe it takes 2 AA batteries...but I can't be sure as I don't have the phone with me. The batteries are for the clock/caller ID in the handset.
