I believe you can. I don't see much use for them besides giving the illusion that you have twice as much space.

After its assembled no, but you don't have to install the dividers

Yes the dividers are removable since the cubes simply stack on top of each other. You would need to unscrew to top of the cube that you want to take it out from, remove the divider then screw the top back on though.

You can not install them when you first assembled the selves
