A:AnswerThis works well using Bluetooth output, or analogue mini-plug wired connection--whichever your sound bar supports. I use Bluetooth connecting to the speaker I use for my TV.
A:AnswerNo need to turn off, as when not playing, the device just keeps a LED light on. Since that draws so very little current, that would make it safe to use an extension cord to un-plug if you want. Also, current draw when playing is minimal.
