• A:Answer Yes it will. All of our turntables feature a selectable (on or off) built-in phono preamplifier. The use of it permits the turntable to be connected to other, line level inputs such as Aux, CD, Tape, Tuner etc.

Q: QuestionIs this what I need to dup albums onto Ipod?My husband downloads music and suggested I check this out as a gift. The product description and price sound right but. . . . . I'm not sure what device's brand name is but it fits in his shirt pocket. Is it pretty much a universal connection or is it mfgr. specific?

Q: QuestionCan this system convert music from an album to iTunes, and can it burn onto a CD?

• A:Answer Yes it is possible to rip Vinyl from Audacity to burn it and add to iTunes. You have to make sure your Default Sample Rate is 44100Hz and the Default sample format is 16-bit. Just Google it because there's a little more you have to do but, it is possible.

• A:Answer Any dual RCA female to RCA male audio cable will do. If the total length of the cable is going to exceed 6 feet, you may want to connect the cable to a LINE level input, such as the AUX or CD input, on your amplifier or receiver instead of the Phono input. If you do, make certain that you turn the preamp inside the turntable ON by placing the preamp selector switch on the rear of it in the LINE position.

• A:Answer A Windows computer will typically recognize the turntable when the USB cable is connected to it and set the turntable as the default recording device. We have seen situations where Windows will also mistakenly set the turntable as the default playback device also however. This is incorrect, so you may want to confirm that the default playback device is still you speakers/sound card after connecting the cable. There are some sound preferences in Audacity itself that will have to be set by you. All recording is done in Audacity. The turntable is compatible with all USB connections.
