If by "the rest" you mean other brands of HDMI cables, Carbon HDMI represents a significant improvement due to the use of superior quality, solid silver-plated conductors and superior quality insulation. No cable can ever improve the signal it's carrying. Cables can only improve performance by doing less damage to the signal. AudioQuest cables do less damage so consequently, picture quality and sound quality are better with AQ.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Way higher quality picture especially on high end tvs and audio components lets put it this way if you had a Ferrari would you put low octane fuel or high
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not see any change in video, however I do notice a improvement in the audio using the audioquest carbon cable over the monster m1000 hd
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The other answers to this question are completely, utterly wrong. HDMI cables carry a digital signal. When the packets of data travel through the cable between you components, whether they are a TV, sat box, blue ray, sound system, etc, the packets of data either make the trip down the cable to the destination or they do not. It's not like analogue tv where you can get a partial picture. In digital, especially video over HDMI, it either works or it doesn't. There is no such thing as a better cable giving better resolution, color, or quality. If the cable is working, you see a picture. If the cable isn't working, you see nothing. There is zero possibility of a lower quality image being delivered because of a lower quality cable. So, if you have a $5 cable and it works, the picture will be identical to a $239 cable. The rest is just marketing. Source: I'm a video engineer and have worked in this industry for 20 years. I do professional installs on high end video and audio equipment. You can easily google this and see corroboration by everyone who isn't trying to sell you a $200 cable worth $2.
