“Can I use a braided, jacketed, cable in my wall? I only need about 8’ and see no reason to purchase a 15’ PVC jacketed cable.”

• The Audioquest HDMI cables less than 3 meters (10 ft) are not rated for in wall use. The available 10 foot in wall cable is less than the 15 foot length you sighted and only slightly above the 8 feet needed.

• Hello, while there technically is no reason why you can't use the braided cable in the wall, it does not meet the UL safety code for in-wall use. The PVC jacketed cable does carry the CMG (CL3) rating for in-wall use, which is what an installer would look for when installing a cable in wall.
