A:Answer Hahaha, I’m sorry, Apple is a nightmare to work with sometimes. I gave up trying to use my iPhone and iPad for music. You’ll have to choose the specific output device from within iTunes and disable all enhancements. You want to choose the best sampling rate possible while you’re there. You’ll also have to open the Playback Devices panel from the taskbar and access the device properties. Disable all enhancements, and set your sampling rate. That was my solution to this problem awhile back.
I highly recommend dropping Apple iTunes at some point and going with Tidal, especially with this product. I can’t speak to technical specifics, but Tidal can output MQA files at over 32-bit/196,000hz. I do not believe iTunes can output at the sampling rate the Dragonfly is capable of processing. And the library is extensive, and not cluttered/awkward like Spotify. Check out their prices. You will not regret it with the Dragonfly. I have rediscovered dozens of albums with Tidal’s exceptional quality, and the Dragonfly (and other DACs)
