Just tried my Sony 7506s with my Dragonfly Red, iPhone and PC. Fairly easily driven in both scenarios but not easily as my Audio Technica m50x headphones. Bass response is far superior in the 50x and upper midrange and highs are for me, way too harsh in the 7506 headphones, using the DF Red, which is the main reason I switched from the Sony’s to the Audio Technicas.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These phones are very sensitive so either Dragonfly should be able to drive them to deafening levels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Dragonfly Red, most often connected to my iPhone 8 Plus driving my Audio Technica ath m50x headphones. I also occasionally connect to my PC using a USB socket . In both scenarios the Dragonfly easily drives my headphones, with lots of volume or gain still available. I also have some well used Sony 7506 headphones, which being amply efficient also are easily driven by the Dragonfly in both of the above scenarios, with both headphones sounding terrific! Enjoy!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Either would drive them fine. I use both with an MDR-V6 which is practically the same load.
