This unit has an audio-sense remote output. Meaning when the radio is turned on, it senses an audio signal and sends a 12 volt signal through the remote output wire from the line output converter. That remote output wire needs to go to your external amplifier (2-channel or mono sub-amp) to signal it to turn on. The wiring is as follows: Yellow = battery +12v input Black = ground input Blue = remote +12v output to amplifier White = left front (+) input White/Black = left front (-) input Gray = right front (+) input Gray/Black = right front (-) input Black/White = reference ground (-) (reference ground optional if noise is present) Alternatively, the speaker inputs can be wired to the rear speakers depending on your application. I used the rear speakers on mine to add a subwoofer amplifier. That way I could use the fader of my factory radio to give me some limited gain control to the subwoofer. By fading to the front speakers, it will decrease the output from the subwoofer. Here is a link to the install manual: https://metra-static.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/INSTAX-MLOC725_web.pdf
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not need to use the remote option, I used this to connect to a home theater receiver and only needed to turn on the B speaker's . The device was used to feed a subwoofer. My subwoofer only has RCA inputs this way I got the character of the power amp through the subwoofer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You’re welcome! Having a bass knob is a definite plus. If you have a bass knob, I’m assuming you’re installing a subwoofer. In that case, it doesn’t matter if you connect the speaker inputs to the front or rear channels because the front and rear speakers will be getting an identical signal. It all comes down to install location. If you’re installing the LOC behind the radio, all the speaker wires are right there, including power and ground. However, if your car has rear deck speakers, you could install the LOC in the trunk and get the speaker inputs from the back deck speakers. That said, you could also get power and ground from your amp, making the install much easier and avoid taking the dash apart. If you have all door speakers (like I do) your best bet is to take the radio out and grab power, ground, and speaker inputs from behind the radio. Then just run your remote wire and RCA’s from the dash to the amp. Hopefully that helps!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you very much my friend. I have a remote control for the bass.Do I still have to connect the speaker wires to the front or is better to the back speaker wires?
