Stories mode is all single player. There is also training grounds.

Yes. It is ok for Campaigning, but not for multiplayer. Too many professional battlefield players online probably on computer using special tools to kill. I just play on my xboc one which is not good enough to challenge. I will continue playing campaign but multiplayer in BF1 was amazingly fun. Too realistic and impossible to kill people

No. You do not need Xbox live gold, but you cannot play multiplayer without gold live.

You can either play online of there are solo missions tat are actually stories you can play.

I does have campaigns you can do but do not expect to have lots of hours worth of gameplay.
