• No they lay on top of your ears. The Studio3 cover the ear. These do reduce but do not block out background noise.

• They are in-ear headset and they do a good job of blocking out noise. I workout at Lifetime and they pump somewhat loud music across the entire gym but these headphones blocks out most of it. Check out my recent review where I tried several headphones and landed on this one.
