• The headphones support what’s called ANC (active noise cancellation) while they do noise cancel, they aim to cancel out active noise (people talking, the sounds of cars driving or ambient noise) they will dampen the sound of say power tools and gun fire but there will be some sound leakage due to those sounds not actively being played. It will take the microphone a few seconds to cancel it out.

• Id say no. It's noise canceling so it might help but the headphones were not created for that specific reason. Protect your hearing, wear proper gear.
