It could, Do you get a wireless connection if you move the desktop in question closer to the router?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes indeed. This will work because it has an integrated 4-port 10/100 switch. This means that anything you plug into the Belkin can be allowed to obtain an IP Address from your router. As long as your Belkin has a good connection to your wireless router, whatever you plug into the Belkin using the integrated Swotch (or even wirelessly) should connect to the Internet as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I cannot say for sure about 300 feet, but I set this in between my left corner basement to send a boosted signal to my second floor right corner pc and have 4 bars of signal; maybe each distance is 50-100 ft apart.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Range extenders need to be able to connect to the main router just like any other wireless device. They do not have super receiver power. Just an educated guess but I doubt any other device can connect to your AT&T router from that far. So my suggestion is to split the distance by having the range extender closer to the router like half way or so. Then using the USB adapter to connect to the extender.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure about the Belkin, but I used the following: NETGEAR - Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender. Model: WN3000RP My router was in the basement and needed WiFi in the Master Bed and this did the trick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I remember correctly this Belkin extender's range is 30 feet, as is my router at home. My house is about 60 feet long (inside) so it works for me. I dont know ...wifi equipment with a 300 foot range may be very expensive. I would see how much 300 feet of ethernet cable costs.
