A:AnswerDual band routers use both the 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz radio bands. This provides two different wifi streams to the router. Devices using the 802.11g specification can only transfer at up to 54Mbs and if you have one on your wifi network, that will limit the speed of all devices on that network. An 802.11n device can go up to 450Mbs (some routers are limited to 300Mbs or less) so if you have a dual band 802.11n device had have it used the 5.0Ghz band it will go at full speed while your older 802.11g devices use the 2.4Ghz band.
A:AnswerBy default the 5ghz band is noted with a 5G at the end of the network name. If you see this on the name of your network you are connected to then you are connected to the 5ghz network.

A:AnswerThe processor requirements are only for the included software. The router itself will function with any computer via a wired connection or with any wireless computer that is wireless B, G or N capable.

A:AnswerThe N router will definitely help as Wireless N has a longer range and faster signal than G does. You can either use your new router in access point mode and connect it to your old router like that or just connect it directly to your router and use it as a second router. The wireless networks will not interfere with each other as each have different SSID's and are 2 separate wireless networks.

A:AnswerThe USB Port on the Belkin N600 Wireless router will allow you to connect your USB enabled printer to the router to share amongst multiple computers in your household. You will need to run the router control software included on the CD that comes with the router. This software will run on windows 7 and allow you to connect to and print from the USB printer attached to your router.

A:AnswerThe router has more than enough bandwith to support streaming or any sort of data intense connections. The real thing to be concerned with is whether or not you are getting a MINIMUM 10mbps per second from your ISP. If you are getting 10 or anything less, you are not going to be able to stream consistantly in HD, ESPECIALLY through a wireless connection.
A:AnswerThe Belkin N600 Wireless Router will work with AT&T internet as long as you have a modem supplying an ethernet connection for your router. If you use Dial-up access this router will not work for you.

A:AnswerI do not know. But to my knowledge the internet routers works with any provider of services in the internet, I think that the internet provider is the one that controls that.. I have a Sony and Samsung DVD'S which connects to the internet and they provide only specific services such as Netflix, etc. but you have to look for others thru their box and require the service, such as Time Warner..
A:AnswerThe Belkin N600 router does not have a built in modem so yes you will need your current ISP supplied modem. We do not manufacture any modem routers.
