No, they are not removable. It's really not necessary. Simply wipe the plates clean with paper towels after each use. Forms a perfect non-stick surface. No oil or grease needed. Healthy and good.

You can make easy work of a sourdough panini if you cook the meat first then put it in the sandwich and you’ll have it all done within 10 minutes

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no. I just made a grilled sandwich with turkey and cheese and it turned out great. I used thin sliced bread. I think a thicker bread would not work as well as it would toast the bread but not melt the cheese or warm the meat.
