• You can put whole lemon. Outside layer would also yield some juice which is little bitter but shouldn't be significant.

• Yes definitely peel first cuz I did it once without thinking or peeling and it was way too bitter

• I juiced a couple lemons and yes, I did peel them first. I read that the peel would affect the flavor.

• Bad idea. You can but the lemmon juice will be too tart. Peeling them keeps the juice from being tart.
