“What happens if you use nonstick spray with the waffle iron?”

• The manual says that the nonstick surface will no longer work after continued use of the nonstick spray. It recommends against it. You can, however, use cooking oil.

• the propellant in the non stick sprays leave a coating that interferes with the non stick from the factory.

• They recommend brushing vegetable olive or canola oil. Manual says not to use spray cans. But I would think putting regular oil into a mister would be fine.

• Manual says not to use coating spray. Not sure about butter. Noon stick works good tho.

• Ive used non stick spray and it’s fine. You don’t really need it though as it’s already non stick
