A:AnswerThere is plenty of extra room in the filter to add extra coffee grounds to make the coffee stronger without overflowing the filter unless you go crazy. It has a mark about midway up the filter for average strength coffee. You can't fill it to the top but another spoon or two is not going to cause a problem.
