Do you have to use oil in this fryer? null

I uses the Misto type oil sprayer. Do not use the oil sprayers you buy in the store. They have chemicals that can ruin teflon coatings.

It depends on the food that you are about to cook. Also, the fryer comes with an instruction book that gives you some instructions on how to cook a particular food item. For instance, if you are cooking chicken wings you would put some type of oil that you wish to use. I personally use olive oil or vegetable oil. You are only using about 3 to 4 tablespoons, just enough to coat the outside of the chicken. I hope this helps.

No oil just non cooking spray if you want. I love it and I'm buying another one for my best friend.
