I gets hot, be careful to not touch it and allow space around
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The outside of the oven gets very hot. You will want to leave at least a foot of clearance around the sides and top.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The top gets hot but not hot enough to cook on. However, It is to hot to touch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The back of the unit heats up pretty quick, within moments of heating elements turning on, as does the front glass door, though not as quickly as the back. The sides didn't get very hot after about 4 min of run time, perhaps after 10 min or so. The top got hot enough to melt a plastic bag after the unit was running for about 5 min. All and all it did good for a toaster oven, I have no worries about burning myself or placing objects near it. Wouldn't recommend placing it inside a cabinet
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Toaster exterior does get hot when unit is on toast or bagel setting or when heating elements are on for long periods of time. Heat is very noticeable on the unit rear panel. We move the unit away from the wall about four or five inches to allow for good air circulation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Outside can get very hot, if you keep metal/ wood on top youll be fine... plastic will melt...be careful as these are prone to malfunction/overheat/smoke
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The top gets hot so I would not place anything that is plastic or cannot handle the heat. To give you an idea of how hot it gets, we place our plates or bowls on top to warm them. It possibly could burn someone depending on how long it's been on and at higher temperatures. Under the unit gets warm but not hot that we've noticed but depending on your counter material (ex Formica) I would take precautions like place some kind of barrier like a silicone "hot pad".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It gets as hot as an oven. Maintain the recommended clearance requirements all around and don’t touch it anywhere when it’s on or after and keep it out of reach of the small ones and anyone with ability issues. Don’t put anything plastic or flammable in or on. There are pages of warnings in the manual. Read it.
