Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Klaatu, I wouldn't say this is completely smokeless. You can see some smoke, but nowhere near the amount of smoke of a traditional grill. You will still get the smell of cooked food as this is just something released while it's cooking. I wouldn't say it's a smoke smell, but rather the smell of the food you're cooking. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is NOT smokeless, but it doesn't put out as much smoke as an outside grill. I think it's less than if you pan seared a steak, but not smokeless. We just used it tonight for 2 steaks and the smoke wasn't too bad at all.

Please try again later.I use mine on my flat top stove so if any smoke pops up (from a sauce on the meat) I just pop on my overhead exhaust fan for a minute or 2 and the smoke is gone with NOsmelly residue. GREAT grill for the money. Had mine for 2 months and I use it 3 times a week.
