To get the pump to "prime", you have to fill the tank with water, then raise and lower the tank into the base several times, like 20 to 40 times. Each time you seat the water tank into the base, a few air bubbles come up, which means water is going into the pump. You have to forcefully seat the tank down to make bubbles form. Then when no more air bubbles come up, press the double shot cup to pump water into it. It took me 15 minutes to get it running, because the water pump won't work right if there is not enough water in the bottom of the machine. Eventually it works perfectly, and makes GREAT espresso! I use pods and ground espresso, both work fantastic!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you hear the pump run for a second and then cut off? This just means there is not enough water inside. The pump will stop to prevent damage until there is enough water primed in the pump. It does take a while for the water to get into the pump the first time. I too was frustrated with this and almost gave up. Glad i didn't though, love this little espresso maker! What i ended up doing was this: Option 1: remove and re-insert reservoir many time...like 100 times....eventually enough water will trickle into the system to prime the pump. Option 2: I left the reservoir seated and used some grill tongs to pull the little stopper up and down many many times. If you see bubbles each time you pull it, that means its working and water is slowly getting inside the machine. I would do a test run every 20 or so pulls. Eventually there was enough water to run. It really is a PITA, but once it gets going, you'll thank yourself for sticking to it. Great little machine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After reading all the reviews, I believe I am prepared to address this issue. However, it still isn't functioning correctly. We've identified the problem: there isn't enough water in the pipe. Yet, getting water in there seems to be a hit-or-miss endeavor. I attempted for two hours, only to eventually surrender in frustration.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.what is the double button and where located? there is enough water in the tank but no water dripping. it is more difficult to get that machine works than to fly to the moon. very disappointed. Also the capsule tray is missing. that is the second one I am getting from BB. I am giving up!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the first one, couldn't make it work. No water was coming out. Called Bella customer support and was told the panel may be defective and suggested me to return or exchange it at Best Buy since it's still within the return period. I just received the second machine and same thing, no water was coming out. Then, I saw these reviews here and gave it a try. I raised and lowered the tank 80+ times, and make sure each time you see bubbles go upward, and it finally worked! It brews beautifully now. Thanks for the tips from other reviews!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wiggled mine around until I saw air bubbles come up. The tank was at a small angle tilted away from the machine instead of it being flush to the back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure it’s seated and then run the steamer until water comes out.
