This is a very weak antenna. I recommend buying one that comes with power booster signals box. It makes a huge difference.

I'm assuming that you're meaning a smart TV, more than HD (High-Def). Probably hard to find that these days (non-HDTV or Smart). So I'm guessing that you're working with an older television. So, the Roku will go into an HDMI port on your TV (non-HD, non-Smart, or otherwise), and this antenna's input will be on the coaxial connection, so the Roku & this antenna can be complimentary, and not be competing. You can absolutely have both. Once you connect this antenna to your coaxial connection on any tv, regardless of a Roku, you should then be able to access your tv's menu/settings, and then scan for local channels.
