I have a 46 inch TV now settting on a cabinet that is only 41 inch to center of screen. Looks perfect for sitting in recliner. Not sure why I would want to put a new 55 inch TV 61 inches to center of screen on the wall. Looks way to high. Get a crook in neck looking up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Complete personal choice/preference. Do what’s comfortable on your neck, better yet, make your significant other pick height and you do the mounting. This will avoid later complaints!

Sometimes it’s not convenient as in Sports bars where they are mounted up high…Use this guide and best judgement. As a rule, a 42” television should be mounted about 56 inches from floor to TV center, A 55” TV should be around 61 inches, A 65” TV should be around 65 inches' floor to center, A 70” television should be mounted about 67 inches to the center of the screen.
