Yes, I measured the back of the lag bolts with the drill bits. I went up two sizes and worked like a charm

For lag bolts, a 3/16" drill bit can sometimes be too small, making it difficult to screw in the bolts. Here are a few suggestions to help you out: 1. Increase Pilot Hole Size: Try using a slightly larger drill bit, such as a 1/4" bit, to make the pilot holes. This should make it easier to screw in the lag bolts without compromising the hold. 2. Lubricate the Bolts: Applying a bit of soap or wax to the lag bolts can help them screw in more smoothly. 3. Use a Socket Wrench: If you're not already using one, a socket wrench can provide better leverage and make it easier to drive the lag bolts into the stud. 4. Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no obstructions in the pilot holes, such as wood chips or debris, which could be making it harder to screw in the bolts. If these steps don't resolve the issue, you might want to consult the installation guide or reach out to our customer support for further assistance.
