Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, as long as your TV has an "antenna" input jack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't need a Smart TV to use this antenna. Your 2011 Sony TV almost certainly has a coax connector for an antenna connection. The real question is what type of signal is your TV set to receive. In "the old days", all of the channels were broadcast analog and the station numbers were even. For example, in most areas ABC broadcast on Channel 7. When the stations started broadcasting a digital signal, the whole channel numbering scheme changed. I live outside of Denver and our ABC station is digitally broadcast on channel 7.1, NBC is on 9.1 etc. If your TV is set up to receive the old analog signal, this Best Buy antenna won't really work for you. The U.S. completed its switch to digital in 2009 so if you have a 2011 Sony TV, I suspect strongly that a) it is set up to receive digital signals and b) it will have a rear coax connector that you can use forr this antenna. You should be good to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is an antenna, which receives UHF frequency TV broadcast signals. Those signals must be processed by your TV in order to extract video and audio. This antenna has nothing to do with a HDMI connector.
