We do not recommend a toilet seat riser at the seat level. Because of the angle spray the seat might get in the way. The alternative would be to use a riser that elevates at the base of the toilet.

The nozzles are designed to hit the 'average' human position, so even without something changing that angle, sometimes you have to move around a little bit to get the spray to hit where you want.

So, the handicap seat can be used the same way as the original without using the supplied small seat rest that comes with . Without seat rest it's just not straight , just little slant.
